Our venue is the perfect setting for hosting unique and meaningful events. The property lends itself beautifully to the organization of creative workshops, a variety of masterclasses, yoga and meditation sessions, book presentations, car and motorcycle gatherings, meetings, cultural events, temporary exhibitions, and vernissages. We’ve already had the pleasure of welcoming several of these initiatives, turning each occasion into an authentic experience immersed in the beauty and tranquility of our space.
However, all events must be discussed in advance and approved by the Management to ensure they align with our standards and the atmosphere we wish to offer our guests.

Nestled among the green Umbrian hills and the enchanting landscapes of the Val d’Orcia, San Carlo alla Molinella is the ideal starting point for exploring the wonders of Umbria and Tuscany. Just a few kilometers away, you’ll find some of the most beautiful towns and villages in Italy. Our reference town, Città della Pieve, which is just 1.5 km away from our property, is a charming example of brick architecture using local terracotta, which ranges in color from pale pink to deeper, warmer tones—still crafted today following traditional artisanal methods.
Città della Pieve has preserved its medieval layout since 1250, when it adopted the shape of an eagle, symbol of Emperor Frederick II, with its wings spread toward Rome. The town’s street network reflects its long history: wider, curved streets were once reserved for knights on horseback, while narrower, irregular alleys were used by the farming classes who moved on foot. Among these is the famous Vicolo Baciadonne, one of the narrowest alleys in Italy, leading to a panoramic terrace with breathtaking views over the Val di Chiana and Mount Cetona.
Città della Pieve is also the birthplace of Pietro di Cristoforo Vannucci, better known as Il Perugino (c. 1450–1523), one of the greatest masters of the Italian Renaissance and teacher of Raphael. Some of his most celebrated works are preserved here, often opening onto the stunning landscapes of Umbria.
The town is divided into three historic districts—Borgodentro, Castello, and Casalino—and has always been deeply tied to its historical and cultural traditions. Every August, it hosts the Palio dei Terzieri, a 13-day historical reenactment that culminates in the “Caccia al Toro”, a traditional archery competition in which teams of three archers aim at a moving target. Another unmissable event is the Infiorata of San Luigi Gonzaga, a remarkable celebration that marks the beginning of the summer festivities, featuring a 1,000-square-meter floral artwork created by local citizens. Each year, the design changes, making every edition a unique and unrepeatable masterpiece. These are just two of the many events that bring life to Città della Pieve, a town rich in experiences to enjoy in every season. With a full calendar of events and many sites of interest, you’ll always find an opportunity to enjoy something memorable.
But the wonders don’t end there.
Just a short drive away, you can visit Montepulciano and Pienza, jewels of the Val d’Orcia, renowned for their Renaissance elegance and their celebrated culinary traditions.
Nearby, Lake Trasimeno offers peaceful views and calm waters, with scenic lakeside villages to discover: Castiglione del Lago; Passignano sul Trasimeno, where you can take a pleasant ferry ride to Isola Maggiore; and the picturesque hamlets of Paciano and Panicale, two small Umbrian gems.
Among the most fascinating and lesser-known destinations are La Scarzuola and Solomeo, two places that offer very different but equally captivating expressions of beauty and harmony. La Scarzuola, conceived by visionary architect Tomaso Buzzi, is a former Franciscan monastery transformed into a symbolic “ideal city”, rich in theatrical structures and esoteric meaning. Solomeo, on the other hand, is a small medieval village brought back to life by humanist entrepreneur Brunello Cucinelli: a place where ethics, craftsmanship, and culture coexist in perfect balance with the landscape and the slower pace of village life.
And there’s more: from San Carlo alla Molinella, you can easily reach Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio, and many other towns steeped in history, art, and spirituality, where every corner tells centuries of stories.
